The Anonymous Sudan group claims to have breached Microsoft servers and obtained a mix of access credentials and personal info of 30 million users. In a Telegram message, they assert to have "hacked" the company, accessing a confidential set of data, including accounts, emails, and passwords.

The group claims to be willing to sell the entire data set to interested parties for $50,000, approximately R$240,000 in direct currency conversion.

Anonymous Sudan posted a document with a sample of 100 credentials to prove the breach, but its authenticity cannot be verified. It may be an exploitation of Microsoft vulnerabilities or a copy of old or third-party databases.

Note from Microsoft: Microsoft denied being hacked in a statement to Bleeping Computer, stating they found no evidence of customer data access or compromise. A spokesperson from the company made the declaration.

Anonymous Sudan, linked to Russian digital activist groups, claimed responsibility for recent DDoS attacks that impacted Microsoft services. The attacks caused temporary disruptions to key platforms, including Outlook, in early June.

On the occasion, Microsoft emphasized reinforcing security on an Azure Web layer targeted by the attack, without mentioning any type of breach.
